We took Anthony to a local park for a big Easter egg hunt and he had a blast even in the the snow. I don't ever remember doing Easter egg hunts in the snow! We had a quiet Easter but spent some good time together as a family.

Which one is having the baby??

Not much has been going on around here so I haven't had much to post about. Racing is just around the corner, Tony is counting down the days. Every morning when he gets up he makes sure to tell us how many more days until his first race.

I had a doctor's appointment today to check up on the baby and everything seems fine. I am 16 weeks or 4 months along now. We can't believe how fast time has gone by. Two week from today we have our big ultrasound and if the baby cooperates then we will find out if it is a boy or girl. We can't wait! Tony still wants that brother but I don't think he will be too disappointed if he gets a sister.

Hope everyone is doing good, with racing season around the corner things will start to get crazy in our lives. I only have one more free weekend before I start living at work. Feel free to leave comments if you like, that way we know who is checking in!!

Brother or Sister??

Well we have waited for what seems like forever before we made the official annoucement. I would guess most of you already know but, we are having a baby!! Ron and I are both so excited. Tony is convinced he is having a brother :) I know he is excited about it but it still seems so far away for him. I am 12 weeks today and the baby is due September 5th. We got to hear the baby's heartbeat and see the baby today. So far everything looks wonderful and we couldn't be happier.

What a Child.....

So Saturday night we were all sitting around getting ready to watch the NASCAR race. Anthony had been so excited all day. Time finally came for it to start and he had all of his pokemon stuffed animals on the couch. When I asked him what he was doing, he told me that his pokemon wanted to watch the race too. Notice he is also sitting in his bean bag chair on the couch. Sometimes I just shake my head, but most of the time he keeps me laughing :)

Crazy Indiana Weather!

Well since not much has been going on around our house lately I haven't had much to post about. So I will post about the crazy weather we have been having. Last Tuesday it was wonderfully warm outside at about 5:00. We knew a cold front was coming through which normally means rain and storms. What we didn't know was two hours later after a tornado warning it would like like a blizzard outside. We still are in awe over the whole day, it was crazy! My parents house had some minor damage and we lost our gas grill, I think it blew over one too many times! Thank goodness that was all that happened. Tony stayed calm by playing his DS in the bathtub :) He stayed in there for almost an hour and the storm didn't last longer than 10 mintues.

Well hopefully things will start to pick up around here soon, and I will have some good stuff to post about. Ron is working on getting the karts ready for racing season. We are trying to decide on Anthony's soccer team for the spring. Just day to day living right now, it is the calm before the storm with spring right around the corner. Hopefully everyone is staying warm and is enjoying life!! Check back for some big news later this month :)

Future Chili Bowl entry, Anthony Petersen, we are still working on a nickname!!

Last week we took off for Tulsa, Oklahoma for the Chili Bowl. Some of you might be asking what the heck is the Chili Bowl? Others of you were there :) The Chili Bowl is my favorite race of the year. It is an indoor race, in a building like no other. There are race car drivers from all over, including Ron and Tony's favorite driver Tony Stewart and my favorite driver Kasey Kahne. Plus it happens when no other racing is going on, the beginning of January.

This is a time Tony get to spend with his "cousin" Anthony. These two are peas in a pod. They hit it off immediately at our wedding when they both found out they have the same name, born in January, and their favorite driver is Tony Stewart. Ever since then Tony has adopted Anthony as one of his best friends, this is the only time of year they get to see each other. Tony talked about Anthony the week before we left, we couldn't wait to see him. When it was time to say goodbye Saturday night, I don't think I have ever seen Tony so sad. We are hoping they will come visit us this summer.

Anthony turned the big 8 years old on Saturday. We had a small party for him at home with close friends and family. He had a blast! It was a Colts football party, that is what there is so much blue :) Anthony has become quite the expert on football.
