Football!!!!

Tony was finally able to play football this Saturday, he has been sick the past two Saturdays and we missed a practice because of the Heart Walk. He did outstanding! He scored a touchdown but, his team lost 14-21. It was a fun game to watch, I told Ron I hope he plays football when he gets older. I will be one of those parents... We sat in the van and watched, it was COLD. I was yelling in the van :) Ron and Riley thought I was crazy but it was so fun to watch him play, and play good! His nickname on his team is crazy legs, Tony loves it! He eats that kind of stuff up, even though this is really his second sport he had a lot of fun playing football this fall.

Backyard Fun!

Last Sunday since Tony was the only one to race the boys got home early. This gave us some time to play in the backyard for a little bit! Riley loves being outside and it has been chilly lately so we haven't been able to be outside too much. They had so much fun together. Riley follows big brother everywhere.

Tony's last race and more

Last Sunday Ron and Tony got up and headed to New Castle. I was just starting my lovely illness so Riley and I stayed home. Ron forgot the camera so you will have to enjoy a few pictures from earlier in the year. Tony got spun out on the first lap and ended up finishing 16th. Not the way he wanted to finish out the year but it happens. None of us can believe the last race has already came and gone and I am sure we will be ready to be back at the track in a few weeks. Hopefully the winter goes as fast as the summer so we can get back out there!

Oh where oh where have the Petersen's gone??

Yes I know it has been a while for a blog update. I promise there will be several this weekend. Just wanted to let you all know we hadn't fell off the face of the earth. Mama Petersen has been felling VERY crummy lately. After two doctor's appointments, antibiotics, a negative flu test, and negative strep test, we are now waiting on mono test results. Tony is finally feeling better and Ron and Riley are going strong.

I have lots of cuteness coming up, Tony's last race, smores, teeth, and some pumpkins! So like I said lots to update on just no energy to work on it. It is coming soon though, I promise....

What a long week....

So it has been a little sickly around here lately, I got a call late Wednesday afternoon that Tony had a fever. Sure enough when I picked him up he looked horrible. Very strange illness because he only had a fever and a headache. He only complained of the headache when his fever went up. I took Thursday off since he has to be fever free for 24 hours before he can go back to school. Ron and I both figured it was just a fluke thing and it would go away. Well come Saturday morning he still had a fever. Ron took him to the doctor and he has a bronchi infection. Who would of thought. Needless to say he feels better now :)
Thursday gave me some time to get ready for my work's summer bash. We had it at our house this year. Saturday we had a blast having a bonfire, playing volleyball, and just hanging out with good friends. Ron and I can barely walk today because of the volleyball, and to think we have been working out. I know I have expressed how much I love my job but the reason I love it so much is because of the people. This was my sixth season at the track and most of us have been together for all six seasons. We have been through a lot and we can look back and laugh and realize how much we have accomplished in those six years! They love my family more than they love me and some of my best friends are the people I work with and their families. I was sad to see it come and go so fast! Can't wait for next year, hopefully next year we will actually have it in the summer and not the fall!

Family Pictures

Well as I sit here hoping to listen to by husband on racefanradio.com, I thought I would write a quick post. For those hoping to listen to him, their server went down so there is no broadcast at the moment :( I don't know what happens if they don't get the server working soon.
Here are some of my favorite pictures from our session with Mike and Bethany Derringer. I can not believe how great they turned out. I love the colors we chose and how vibrant they are! We could not be happier, now to choose which ones to print out!
